METEO FRANCE invites a postdoctoral fellow to advance LDAS-Europe within the VEGEO team. You will work on land data assimilation, remote sensing, and Earth observation techniques, contributing to open literature and collaborative European projects.

The role requires a PhD, proficiency in Python in a Linux environment, and experience with data assimilation, DL, and/or land surface modelling. Hybrid work and international collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required in a relevant field with strong publication record.
• Experience using Python for data analysis in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with at least two topics among deep learning, data assimilation, land-surface modelling or remote sensing.

Responsabilités

• Operate LDAS over Europe as part of the VEGEO team.
• Apply ISBA/SURFEX modelling and remote sensing data.
• Collaborate with international partners and contribute to open literature.
