BRGM, France's leading Earth sciences public institution, seeks a Post-doctoral researcher to advance the LDB bioleaching process from laboratory to pilot scale. The role focuses on bioreactor development, experimental testing, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

You will conduct bioleaching tests, manage scale-up to a 100 L pilot, and contribute to CFD modeling and process characterization while working in an international environment with travel within France and abroad,

Qualifications

• PhD in process (bio)engineering, chemical engineering, biohydrometallurgy or related field.
• Experience in bioleaching or biohydrometallurgy of sulfides.
• Strong ability to design and carry out laboratory and pilot-scale experiments.

Responsabilités

• Develop the LDB bioreactor from lab to on-site pilot plant.
• Conduct bioleaching tests, kinetics and input parameter determination for pilot sizing.
• Scale-up from laboratory to continuous pilot (100 L) and inoculum preparation.
