The postdoctoral researcher will investigate the genomic evolution of intracellular bacteria (genus Rickettsia) associated with ticks, using a range of bioinformatics approaches for comparative genomics and phylogenomics analyses.

Based in Montpellier within the MIVEGEC unit (CNRS/IRD/University of Montpellier), the role requires PhD in evolutionary biology and strong bioinformatics experience, with good English for scientific writing and international collaborations.

Qualifications

• PhD in evolutionary biology or related field is required.
• Solid experience in microbial genomics, evolutionary biology and phylogenetics.
• Good scientific English for writing and collaboration with international partners.
