Job summary

Cermes3 in France invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) postdoc in Sociology to participate in a study on treatment practices for recurrent pulmonary embolisms and venous thromboses, and to promote and coordinate the research group.

You will conduct observations in hospital settings, organize interviews with healthcare professionals and patients, contribute to data analysis, coordinate collaborative research work, and disseminate findings through publications and conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Sociology or related field.
• Ability to analyse qualitative data and write articles for journals.
• Experience conducting research in hospital settings and coordinating projects.

Responsibilities

Participate in the study on treatment practices for recurrent pulmonary embolisms and venous thromboses, and contribute to the promotion and coordination of the research group.

Conduct observations in a hospital setting (consultations, professional meetings)

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

Anthropology of Health, Sociology of Health Research methodology in the social sciences; ability to analyse qualitative data in various formats and to write articles for national and international journals in the field. Experience of conducting research in a hospital setting. Ability to liaise with international partners in the social sciences and humanities and the medical field, and to organise and lead collaborative research projects
