Your task • We are looking for a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to investigate intra-mitochondrial signaling pathways linked to mitochondrial respiration (see doi: 10.1016/j.chembiol.2023.07.009. PMID: 37572668) • Main techniques to be performed by the postdoctoral fellow: cell culture (neuronal cell lines and HEK293 cells), western blot, BRET assay, cell signaling, CRISPR/Cas9 in cell lines, mitochondrial respiration analysis, immunoprecipitation experiment coupled MS analysis confocal and high-resolution microscopy

Requirements

For this position, you qualify with a PhD in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Cell Biology or related disciplines.

• You have a solid background in biochemistry, molecular pharmacology, cell biology and cell signaling

• Specific knowledge on GPCRs, BRET, signal transduction or mitochondrial biology would be an advantage.

• Independently plan, execute, troubleshoot and interpret experiments, experience with data analysis tools

• Supervise a research technician and prepare external research collaborations

• Clearly analyze and communicate scientific findings in written and verbal form

• You have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively

• Fluency in oral and written English

The Institut Cochin is a research center affiliated to INSERM, CNRS, Université Paris Cité, located in the heart of Paris. It has more than 650 members in 33 research teams, dedicated to high- level biomedical sciences and assisted by 10 cutting-edge core facilities. Ten core facilities provide the scientists of the Institute with the most efficient technological support. Our team is part of the " Metabolism and Endocrinology" department. We have a long-term interest in the involvement of GPCRs in metabolic diseases such as obesity and diabetes and the link to Alzheimer disease. We are an international team composed of about 15 members.

We are offering a 26 months contract, renewable, FRM funded with a salary according to the experience and the scale applicable to the public service. Predicted starting date: Nov 2025 or beginning 2026
