Main Responsibilities
Project management analysis and drafting
- Lead the development of key consumer policy and consumer product safety workstreams, including drafting in-depth policy and empirical research reports and organising expert and stakeholder consultations. This involves managing substantive projects examining key consumer opportunities and risks in the global and digital transition, the impact of digital technologies on consumer transactions and product safety, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in consumer and product safety policy making and enforcement, among other topics.
- Lead the development of the OECD Global Forum on Consumer Policy.
- Supervise junior staff in the Consumer Policy Unit, providing guidance and reviewing work.
Liaison and communication
- Participate in horizontal and multi-disciplinary projects of STI and the OECD relevant to the CCP and WPCPSs activities, including on competition policy and the OECD Horizontal Project on AI.
- Contribute to organising and participating in meetings and events at national, regional, and international levels.
- Liaise and collaborate with experts from the private sector, civil society, and academia related to CCPs and WPCPS workstreams.
Qualifications :
Ideal Candidate Profile
Academic background :
- An advanced university degree in public policy, economics, or law. Relevant studies in consumer policy are preferred.
Professional background :
- At least five years of experience in consumer policy and/or product safety fields.
- Experience in leading or coordinating international projects, including managing relationships with high-level government and stakeholder representatives.
- Ability to produce clear, evidence-based analytical papers addressing complex policy, legal, and economic issues.
- Experience with quantitative analysis and empirical research, including using software tools for surveys and data analysis, is advantageous.
- Experience managing large-scale projects, including procurement processes and consultants.
Languages :
- Fluency in one OECD official language (English or French) and proficiency in the other, with a commitment to improving language skills.

Contract Duration

What the OECD offers
- Monthly salary starting at 7,955 EUR plus allowances, exempt from French income tax, depending on experience.
