Job summary

Körber Supply Chain in France seeks a PLC & Commissioning Engineer to develop and implement PLC software for logistics automation, integrating fieldbus systems with higher-level controls and optimizing performance.

Travel internationally for project kick-offs, commissioning, and customer training, while supporting installation and startup with a global team and ensuring customer acceptance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of PLC programming and commissioning experience.
• Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with Siemens automation platforms (S7 Classic, TIA Portal, S7 Safety, WinCC Flexible).
• Knowledge of drive technology and industrial communication networks/fieldbus systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally for ~5–6 months per year, with project durations up to 3 weeks.

Your role:

• Develop and implement PLC software, including fieldbus systems and integration with higher-level control systems.
• Commission, test, troubleshoot, and optimize automation and control systems.
• Support system installation, startup, and customer acceptance activities.
• Deliver customer training and technical support during project execution.

Your profile:

• At least 2 years of experience in PLC programming and commissioning.
• Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience with Siemens automation platforms (S7 Classic, TIA Portal, S7 Safety, WinCC Flexible).
• Knowledge of drive technology, industrial communication networks, and fieldbus systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally - this isrequired for approximately 5-6 months per year, with assignments typically lasting up to 3 weeks.
• Experience in intralogistics, warehouse automation, or material handling systems is a plus.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
