Lenstra in Paris is seeking a Cloud & AI Platform Engineer to design and operate an AI-enabled data platform. You will provision VMs, manage datasets, and orchestrate agents across AI workflows. You will ensure secure, scalable cloud infra and cost governance with AWS guidance.

The role requires strong Python, IaC, and cloud skills, plus fluent English and French communication. Paris hybrid work with 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS or equivalent required.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bilingual English/French written and spoken preferred.

Responsabilités

• Participate in building a Data Science and AI Agentics platform (VM provisioning, dataset access, Feature Store, Model Registry, agent orchestration).
• Design and operate the infrastructure underpinning AI agent workflows.
• Manage infrastructure, monitoring, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Provide AWS guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyse and optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and cost.
• Provide technical support for cloud and AI-platform issues.
• Develop documentation for cloud infra, AI components, and best practices.
• Stay updated on cloud tech and agentic AI trends and share knowledge.

About the role

We are currently seeking a talented Cloud & AI Platform Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will:

• Participate in building a Data Science and AI Agentics platform (VM provisioning, dataset access, Feature Store, Model Registry, agent orchestration, tool/plugin integration, inference infrastructure).
• Design and operate the infrastructure underpinning AI agent workflows.
• Be accountable for infrastructure management, monitoring practices, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on AWS throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Analyse and optimise cloud infrastructure to improve performance, security, and cost-efficiency — including cost governance for compute-intensive AI workloads.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud and AI-platform-related issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, AI platform components, processes, and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in cloud technologies and agentic AI infrastructure, and share knowledge with the team.

• You have a good general knowledge of Computer Science.
• You are familiar with Cloud Computing and have good knowledge of one of the big providers (AWS or GCP).

Good to have

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services, architectures, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, especially Terraform.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to agent frameworks (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Bedrock Agents, or similar) or LLM orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector, OpenSearch) and RAG pipelines.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What we offer:

Salary from 48k to 80k — based on seniority and interview performance, no surprises
