Job summary

Hager Group in Obernai is seeking a six-month intern in Plastics Resins and Components Sourcing starting January 2027. You will work under the Category Sourcing Management Specialist and analyze tail-end suppliers, evaluate recycled plastics suppliers, and maintain supplier databases to support strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering, fluent in English, and proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Currently a student pursuing a Master's degree level in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering or Business Administration.
• Proficient in English in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analysis tools (Power BI, SAP or similar) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tail-end suppliers for plastic components to identify consolidation opportunities, cost savings, sourcing risks, and support future supplier decisions.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers of recycled plastics, particularly recycled PVC, based on technical capabilities, certifications, cost, and supply performance.
• Maintain and update supplier databases and reporting tools to ensure accurate data and support sourcing activities.
