Job summary

Hager in Obernai offers a 6‑month internship in Plastics resins and components sourcing starting January 2027. You will join an international, cross‑functional team responsible for supplier analysis, consolidation opportunities, and sustainable sourcing of plastic materials.

We seek a Master’s student in Procurement/Supply Chain or related field, proficient in English, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills; Power BI or SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree level in a relevant field and currently a student.
• Proficiency in English in a professional environment.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analysis tools (Power BI, SAP) is a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously in an international team and show initiative.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tail-end suppliers for plastic components to identify consolidation opportunities.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers of recycled plastics, particularly recycled PVC.

We are looking for our future intern in Plastics resins and components Sourcing based in Obernai for a duration of 6 months starting from January 2027.

Your mission:

Reporting to the Category Sourcing Management Specialist, the whole team will rely on you to:

• Analyze tail-end suppliers for plastic components to identify consolidation opportunities, cost savings, sourcing risks, and support future supplier decisions.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers of recycled plastics, particularly recycled PVC, based on technical capabilities, certifications, cost, and supply performance.
• Maintain and update supplier databases and reporting tools to ensure accurate data and support sourcing activities.

The team consists of 9 people. We are an international sourcing team responsible for developing competitive and sustainable sourcing strategies for plastic raw materials and plastic components.

Your profile:

Currently a student at Master’s Degree level (Engineering School, Business School or University) level in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Engineering, Polymer Engineering or Business Administration, you are looking for an internship of 6 months. You are proficient in English in a professional environment.

• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point; knowledge of data analysis tools (Power BI, SAP or similar) is a plus.
• You demonstrate initiative and autonomy and enjoy working in an international and cross-functional team environment.
• Your skills in data analysis, market research and synthesis of information will be your best assets to succeed in your mission.
