Eastman is a global specialty materials company seeking an Application Development & Technical Service Engineer to lead Western Europe technical engagements. You will translate CTQs, guide material selection, mold design, and process optimization to deliver high-quality polymer solutions.

Responsibilities include driving design-for-manufacturability workshops, collaborating with R&D on sustainable products, and delivering technical trainings to customers, distributors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

PhD in Polymer Science or related field; Master in Plastics acceptable.
≥10 years of industrial experience in plastic processing, injection molding expert.
Fluent English and French mandatory; other European languages welcome.
Willingness to travel up to 50% across Western Europe.

Responsabilités

Translate brand/converter requirements into CTQ parameters for material selection and process optimization.
Lead design-for-manufacturability workshops and injection-molding trials; solve processing challenges.
Represent Eastman at conferences and standards committees; deliver expert presentations.
Capture customer insights and work with R&D on sustainable product development.
Develop technical trainings, webinars, and workshops for customers and teams.
Monitor market and regulatory trends to identify new opportunities.
Create technical marketing content and case studies for the value chain.
Foster collaborations with universities and research institutes.
