Job summary

Schaeffler France S.A.S. seeks a seasoned Quality Manager to lead the quality management system across the plant. You will drive governance adherence, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with EN 9100 in collaboration with aerospace and defence customers.

In this role, you will guide cross-functional teams, implement improvements, and mentor staff, while communicating fluently in English and French. The position is based at the Chambéry site with a focus on sustainable quality leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in engineering, quality management, MBA or similar.
• 10–15 years of relevant industrial manufacturing experience.
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining quality management systems (EN 9100).
• Experience with aerospace and defence sector quality requirements.
• Leads quality teams and translates governance into plant-level processes.
• Strong English and French language skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation, maintenance, control and verification of the quality management system and processes.
• Set up and manage the quality management organisation and networks; allocate resources; oversee budget planning and control.
• Design, implement and enhance quality systems, guidelines, processes, goals and structures.
• Align local implementation with Schaeffler Group quality governance, standards and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance on quality systems, audits, methods and customer-related topics.
• Drive sharing of lessons learned; promote standardisation and training.
• Coordinate quality activities across the plant; manage quality risks and improvements.
• Develop and maintain quality reporting for management.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation, maintenance, control and verification of the quality management system and processes, develop quality strategy and initiatives, and implement methods, tools and qualifications to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Set up and manage the quality management organisation and networks, allocate necessary resources, and oversee the planning and control of the quality budget.
• Design, implement and consistently enhance quality management systems, including guidelines, processes, strategies, goals and organisational structures.
• Ensure the effective integration and local implementation of the Schaeffler Group quality governance framework, standards, processes, methods and reporting requirements, while considering applicable local and business-specific requirements.
• Act as the first point of contact to provide technical guidance on quality systems, processes, audits, methods, tools, initiatives and customer-related quality topics.
• Encourage and drive the implementation and sharing of lessons learned, foster standardisation, ensure the availability of technical and methodological know-how, and provide methods, tools and related training.
• Coordinate and monitor quality-related activities across the plant, ensuring consistent application of defined standards and processes and appropriate management of quality risks and improvement priorities.
• Develop and maintain quality reporting and regularly inform accountable management.

Your Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration or a comparable field.
• 10 to 15 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, including EN 9100
• Experience with the quality, compliance, documentation and traceability requirements of aerospace and defence customers
• Several years of experience leading a quality organisation or multidisciplinary quality teams.
• Strong ability to translate Group governance, standards and methods into effective plant-level processes and routines.
• Advanced level of English and French.
