The primary objective of this role is to ensure customer satisfaction by continuously improving the plants production processes and maintaining compliance with the quality system. The Plant Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting and investigating customer concerns while driving corrective and preventive actions.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor department KPIs regularly to evaluate performance and implement action plans accordingly.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting on key metrics, such as CPKs and One Pager, within the plants scope.
- Utilize and interpret company applications to generate monthly reports and validate data accuracy.
- Design, develop, and implement quality control guidelines to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular product and process audits to verify that quality systems are in place and effectively functioning.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives, ensuring customer protection through strict adherence to procedures.
- Implement and maintain compliance with customer quality requirements.
- Provide training and mentoring to quality personnel as needed.
- Manage calibration, validation, and documentation of tools and checking fixtures in assigned areas
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of GD8 problem-solving methodologies.
- Solid understanding of APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
- Proficiency in IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and GD&T (ASME Y 14.5 M-1994).
- Experience in process audits and calibration.
- Familiarity with automotive interior components, including carpets, plastics, headliners, and soft trim assembly processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of customer-specific applications.
- Languages: mandatory fluent french and english.
