Ariston Group seeks a Plant Quality Control Manager to lead the plant quality system, drive continuous improvement, and ensure product excellence across manufacturing operations in France. You will head the plant quality team, coordinate supplier feedback, and manage SPC-based quality control throughout the process.

The role requires an engineering degree with 3–5 years in a comparable leadership position, strong SPC and QA skills, and experience with Lean, TQM and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with strong quality leadership experience.
  • Experience with SPC, QA methods and product testing techniques.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA and World Class Manufacturing practices.

Responsabilités

  • Oversee plant quality system development, monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop the plant quality team and promote a quality-driven culture.
  • Coordinate supplier feedback and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage incoming material inspections, in-process QC and non-conformity actions.
  • Support NPI and Engineering Change Requests to ensure quality compliance.
  • Act as Quality Control Pillar Leader within WCM framework.

Description du poste

As Plant Quality Control Manager, you report directly to the Plant Director and functionally to the Group Quality Control organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the effective operation, development, monitoring, and enhancement of the plant quality system, promoting continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and product excellence.
  • Oversee all manufacturing activities that may impact product quality and process performance.
  • Lead and develop the plant quality team while fostering a quality-driven culture through the deployment of global standards, structured problem-solving methodologies, and operational excellence practices.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to provide data-driven feedback on quality performance and drive corrective and preventive improvement actions.
  • Coordinate incoming material inspections and in-process quality verification activities.
  • Evaluate scrap and rework trends, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective measures.
  • Monitor product quality through statistical analysis, ensuring effective management of non-conformities and associated action plans.
  • Facilitate plant quality reviews and cross-functional quality meetings.
  • Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes by ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
  • Coordinate activities related to rework, containment actions, and quarantine stock.
  • Partner with the Quality Assurance team in the resolution of customer complaints and plant-related claims.
  • Verify adherence to internal process standards and manufacturing procedures.
  • Act as Quality Control Pillar Leader within the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework, driving quality performance and capability development.
Key Requirements
  • Engineering degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable quality leadership role within an international manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems, inspection methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), and product testing techniques.
  • Working knowledge of core manufacturing processes, including metal stamping, welding, enameling, painting, polyurethane injection, assembly, and automation.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and PFMEA. Experience with the Quality Control Pillar in a World Class Manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental principles applicable to industrial operations.
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-related systems.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills, combined with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
