Dans ce rôle, vous serez chargé de gérer les spécifications de tuyauterie et de coordonner des activités techniques pour assurer le succès des projets. Vous devez avoir un diplôme en ingénierie et 10-15 ans d'expérience, ainsi qu'une maîtrise des outils de modélisation 3D comme E3D. Piping Material Engineer / Layout Piping Coordinator (F/M)

Localisation : Rueil-Malmaison

CONTEXT:

The Business Division Project Operations specializes in the design and supply of process furnaces and modular units for our customers’ refineries and petrochemical sites. Within this Business division is carried out the execution of the products, from design to start-up at customers.

The Engineering department is responsible for engineering studies on these projects as well as technical support for the development of new equipment sold by the company.

MISSIONS:

As a Piping Material Engineer, reporting to the Piping & Layout Group Manager, you will play a key role in managing piping material specifications and coordinating piping activities within projects.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Technical Specifications Management:

  • Prepare and maintain updated Piping Material Specifications (PMS) for process and utility services, as well as Valve Material Specifications (VMS).
  • Calculate pipe wall thickness and reinforcement pad requirements.
  • Develop technical supply conditions for various piping materials.
Equipment and Procurement Management:
  • Check consistency of Bill of Material (BOM) issued from P&ID's and/or 3D model.
  • Prepare Material Requisitions (MR) and evaluate vendor offers through Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
  • Coordinate all technical queries related with procurement of piping items (pipes, fittings, bolts, nuts, gaskets, flanges, valves, specialty items).
  • Review and approve vendor documentation related to piping components post-order placement.
Compliance with Standards:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, EN, DIN, ASTM, API, PED, etc.).
  • Ensure that rules related to Health, Safety, and Environment policy deployed within the company are respected.
Technical Collaboration:
  • Work closely with 3D administrators for integration into modeling software (E3D or SP3D).
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Piping Layout, Stress Analysis, Process Engineering, Instrumentation) and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Methods & Development:
  • Develop methods and standards for material activities.
  • Manage all material related activities and developments with all different entities of Axens group worldwide.
Additional Responsibilities as Piping Coordinator:
When workload related to materials allows, you will also act as a Piping Coordinator to:
  • Coordinate the piping activity within projects, ensuring proper integration with other disciplines.
  • Be the main interface between piping, project managers, and other disciplines.
  • Contribute to layout optimization and ensure compliance with design constraints.
KNOWLEDGES AND REQUIRED LEVEL:
You have Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) and around 10-15 years of experience in piping material engineering and/or project coordination related to piping systems.

You are fluent in French as the position is based in France.

You are proficient in English, which is also necessary for technical documentation and international coordination.

You are available for international business trips.

Technical Skills:
Expertise in preparing technical specifications for piping materials and valves.
Strong knowledge of industrial codes (ASME B31.3, API, PED) and international standards.
Proficient in software tools such as E3D or SP3D for 3D modeling.
Experience in technical bid evaluation and post-order vendor follow-up.

Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage subcontractors efficiently.
