We are looking for a
Security Operations Manager
Broad description
  1. Manages & provides day-to-day support, guidance, design engineering, project planning, and oversees IBX Operations Security, assuring consistency in meeting performance goals for customer satisfaction.
  2. Works with necessary stakeholders to ensure that the business needs for security matters are met.
  3. Manages the security systems operation and maintenance, getting support from manufacturers or suppliers.
Main responsibilities and accountabilities of the role
  1. Effectively manages facility maintenance for all security systems, trains operations team to achieve service availability objectives of 99.999% or better, through effective personnel management and a comprehensive knowledge of data center systems and their redundancy features.
  2. Manages security systems capacity.
  3. Oversees operations team workloads to ensure customer service delivery time frames are met.
  4. Manages QA/QC and employee training processes to deliver high-quality service and meet customer expectations.
  5. Supports supervisors, security engineers, and IBX site security staff in testing, project management, and incident resolution.
  6. Maintains consistency in the administration and enforcement of security policies and SOPs, with ongoing reviews and improvements.
  7. Provides 24x7, 365 response to emergencies such as security system failures, alarms, escalations, severe weather, etc., arranging backups when necessary.
  8. Provides timely incident and security breach investigations, communication, escalation, and remedial actions.
  9. Works closely with research and design groups for new security technologies and data center construction.
  10. Manages multiple security projects and collaborates effectively in a team environment.
  11. Plans, coordinates, reviews budgets, and manages resources for security projects and maintenance.
  12. Manages both capital and operational expenditures, maintaining control over the budget.
  13. Coordinates and supports global security contractors and oversees their work to ensure standards, KPIs, and SLAs are met.

Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience in facility maintenance, operations, and management, with a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Supervisory experience leading multiple trade disciplines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data center security infrastructure and networking.
  • Operational experience with data communication issues, including physical security, resource management, capacity planning, monitoring, and performance.
Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, effective communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, and Office Suite.
  • Knowledge or certification with security systems manufacturers such as AMAG, Software House, Loronix, Prowatch, Gallagher, Lenel, AEOS, or GE is a plus.
  • Ability to perform maintenance tasks and produce reports and documentation.
  • Knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP and troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Understanding of test equipment like Bert testers, cable analyzers, and sniffers.
