Quandela in Massy, Île-de-France, is seeking an experimental profile to join the Integrated Photonics team. You will ensure reliable characterization of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) from measurements to data analysis, with ownership of campaigns and improvements.

The role combines hands-on lab work with software automation, requiring 2-3+ years or a PhD, and strong English. This is an operational hardware position within a growing company scaling photonic quantum technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or closely related field (Master's or PhD).
• Hands-on characterization of integrated photonic components using lasers, fibers, alignment stages and power meters.
• Ability to operate autonomously in optical laboratory environments after training.
• Strong experimental rigor and ability to analyze measurement data.
• Python scripting for data analysis or measurement automation.
• Professional English.

Responsabilités

• Characterize fabricated photonic chips and perform die-level optical and electrical measurements.
• Own characterization activities, run campaigns, ensure measurement quality and traceability.
• Develop Python scripts for measurement automation and data analysis.
• Collaborate with design, fabrication, packaging and system integration teams.
• Support qualification workflows and contribute to documentation.
