The Laboratory of Photonics, Electronics, and Quantum Engineering (PHELIQS) at Grenoble INP - Institute of Engineering invites applications for a PhD position in quantum information processing and nanoelectronics.

The PhD will explore imaginary and real-time dynamics of quantum systems, develop a quantum-inspired emulator, and study tensor networks with a view toward scalable ground state searches and simulations for strongly correlated materials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physics, applied mathematics, or computer science.
• Strong background in quantum many-body physics.
• Programming skills in Python; Rust a plus.
• Experience with tensor networks, variational Monte-Carlo, ML, or GPU programming is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Develop techniques for simulating quantum systems in imaginary and real time.
• Work toward a quantum-inspired emulator for large qubit systems.
• Contribute to ground state searches and dynamics without noisy optimization.
