Grenoble INP - Institute of Engineering, through the Laboratory of Photonics, Electronics, and Quantum Engineering (PHELIQS), invites applications for a PhD researcher position focused on developing germanium quantum bits using innovative nanofabrication techniques. You will work across teams to push forward device designs and measurement capabilities.

The role requires a Master’s degree in physics, microelectronics, nanotechnology, or a closely related field, with a strong background in

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in physics, microelectronics, nanotechnology, or related field.
  • Solid knowledge of semiconductor physics and nanofabrication.
  • Experience with quantum measurement techniques and low-temperature experiments.

Responsabilités

  • Design and fabricate germanium spin-qubit devices using innovative nanofabrication techniques.
  • Develop and optimize nanofabrication processes for quantum devices.
  • Characterize devices at very low temperatures and evaluate coherence and qubit control.
  • Collaborate with experimental and theoretical teams and publish results.
