The Institute of Cognitive Science Marc Jeannerod (Lyon) invites applications for a PhD position funded for 3 years, starting as early as November 2026. The project investigates how social and non-social events are represented in the brain using EEG, fNIRS, or fMRI methods.

We seek a motivated candidate with a Master’s degree in a relevant field, experience in experimental research and data analysis, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, computer science, or related field.
• Experience with experimental research and data analysis.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; good programming skills.
• Familiarity with EEG/ fNIRS/ fMRI or eye-tracking or computational modelling desirable.

Responsabilités

• Investigate the representation of social and non-social events in the mind/brain.
• Design and conduct cognitive neuroscience experiments and analyze results.
