Grenoble Institute of Neurosciences (GIN) at Université Grenoble Alpes invites applications for a Research Engineer in Cognitive Neuroscience and Human Neurophysiology. The role focuses on Python-based scientific software development and pipelines for human intracranial electrophysiology data.

The position will contribute to developing and standardising tools (GIN2BIDS, BIDSForge) and integrate with SpikeInterface and MNE-Python while collaborating with national and European partners.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python and demonstrated experience in scientific software development.
• Experience with data-processing pipelines or reproducible analysis workflows.
• Strong programming skills and ability to translate scientific requirements into software solutions.
• Knowledge of Linux environments and standard scientific computing tools.
• Familiarity with electrophysiological data (iEEG/SEEG, EEG/MEG) is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Develop, maintain, and document scientific software and reproducible pipelines for intracranial electrophysiology data.
• Develop tools such as GIN2BIDS and BIDSForge for standardisation and workflow processing.
• Ensure interoperability and reproducibility with national and European partners.
• Provide training and support to PhD students, postdocs, engineers and clinicians.
