Université Grenoble Alpes, in collaboration with the Institut Néel, offers a COFUND QuanG PhD position focusing on InAs/Sn nanostructures for tunable Josephson junctions in quantum devices. The project uses TEM, GPA, EDX, and growth modeling to study interfaces and material quality.

The PhD is part of a three-year funded program with international partners; candidates must have a Master’s degree, comply with MSCA mobility rules, and apply by 7 Sep 2026. Starting date is 1 Feb 2027 in Grenoble.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification required.
  • MSCA mobility rule must be complied with: no residence in France for more than 12 months in the last 36 months.
  • No current employment at host laboratory; no nationality or age restrictions.

Responsabilités

  • Characterize atomic and chemical structure of interfaces using TEM, GPA, and EDX.
  • Develop growth models and perform in situ TEM studies to link interfaces to transport properties.
