Royal Canin, part of Mars, is seeking a Pet & Product Science Officer in Aimargues to lead scientific knowledge management and ensure robust claim substantiation. You will interface with Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Digital, and Marketing to translate science into business value, manage substantiation dossiers, and drive governance for evaluation of scientific evidence.

The role requires advanced degrees, cross-functional project experience, and fluent English.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree, Veterinary degree, PhD or equivalent scientific qualification in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Biology, Food Science or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex scientific information into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience with knowledge management, scientific communication, or claim substantiation.
• Experience collaborating with Regulatory Affairs and Legal teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with digital knowledge management systems and data-driven decision making.
• Fluency in English.

Aufgaben

• Provide guidance and insights regarding nutritional and scientific content of development projects (QUEST).
• Ensure a rigorous nutritional and scientific approach during development of innovation projects.
• Act as custodian of nutritional and scientific consistency and knowledge through pre- and post-market launch.
• Facilitate efficient decision-making by connecting project teams with scientific expertise and evidence.
• Provide scientific evidence for product claims substantiation and assess on-pack claims' scientific risk.
• Balance level of science with business potential and adapt the story for the product.
• Promote capitalization and reuse of existing scientific learnings and substantiation dossiers.
• Build and maintain knowledge management capability for health and nutrition claim substantiation.
• Develop and maintain substantiation dossiers and evidence repositories.
