Company Overview

SiPearl is the European fabless designer of sovereign secure high-performance energy-efficient CPUs for HPC, AI, and data centres. These CPUs address strategic challenges in security, defence, medical research, energy, climate, and engineering while reducing environmental footprint.

In June 2025, we completed the design of the most complex CPU ever designed in Europe, Rhea1, featuring 80 Arm Neoverse V1 cores and 61 billion transistors, now in production at TSMC. Rhea1 will be integrated into the EuroHPC JU exascale supercomputer JUPITER, and Rhea2 will be part of Alice Recoque.

Incubated within the European Processor Initiative (EPI) Consortium and seed-funded by the European Union, we employ almost 200 people in France (Maisons-Laffitte, Grenoble, Massy, Sophia Antipolis), Spain (Barcelona), and Italy (Bologna). Following a €130 million Series A, we launched a Series B round.

About the role

As a Benchmark Engineer, you will work closely with the Benchmark Team Leader and the R&D System & Software teams to test, analyse, and optimise benchmark and application codes for pre-silicon, simulation and silicon performance analysis of SiPearl processors, and contribute to collaborative partner projects.

Your missions

• Analyse and optimise benchmark and application codes to leverage SiPearl processor architectures
• Design, run, and monitor test scenarios; collect and validate performance results
• Produce detailed performance analyses and forecasts for pre-silicon, simulation and silicon phases
• Identify and fix software issues impacting benchmarks and applications
• Package, document and present benchmark results and improvements internally and externally
• Contribute to collaborative R&D projects with academic and industrial partners

What will help you succeed

• Strong experience in benchmarking and performance analysis in Cloud and/or HPC environments
• Solid knowledge of programming languages and parallel computing models (C, C++, Fortran, OpenMP, MPI)
• Good understanding of processor architectures (Aarch64, x86)
• A rigorous and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance data and propose optimisations
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in an international environment

Experience that is a plus

• Pre-silicon, simulation or silicon performance evaluation
• Benchmark development, validation and packaging
• Participation in collaborative research or industrial projects
• Supervision or mentoring of trainees

Recruitment process

3. Two technical interviews (1 h each)
4. Interview with an HRBP to address remaining questions (30 min)
