Lever, Inc. is seeking a Performance Engineer - Open Source based in France. You will drive performance, efficiency, scalability, and correctness across the full software stack—from CPUs, kernels, and runtimes to databases and web technologies.
You will develop shared tooling, dashboards, and measurement frameworks, strengthen test harnesses and pipelines, and mentor engineers to build a culture of measurement and engineering rigor.
Qualifications
- Experience improving software performance, scalability, or correctness through practical work or projects.
- Strong Linux knowledge, ideally Debian/Ubuntu.
- Familiarity with performance measurement tools (eBPF, D-Trace, flamegraphs).
Responsabilités
- Drive software performance, efficiency, scalability, and correctness within a project.
- Analyze systems, applications, and code to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Develop and improve shared tooling, dashboards, and measurement frameworks.
- Strengthen test harnesses, pipelines, benchmarks, and observable metrics.
- Review code and designs with a focus on performance, scalability, and correctness.
- Collaborate with open source communities and cross-region teams.
