Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in processor architecture or performance modelling.
  • Solid understanding of software and hardware co-development; compiler development experience is a plus.

Performance Architect – Edge AI Start-up

I'm currently supporting an exciting edge AI startup, seeking a talented Performance Architect to drive the development and leadership of a performance model for a novel digital processor designed to complement an advanced photonic processor. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware and software innovation, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for developing models to evaluate PPA based on targeted input features, as well as conducting hardware feasibility studies to assess performance, congestion, and power requirements. You will also analyse AI applications and workloads to identify and address performance bottlenecks, along with creating and executing benchmarks to validate and compare performance metrics. You will collaborate closely with Analog IC engineers to ensure seamless integration with the optical processor, and work with the software team to design instruction pipelining strategies and propose algorithmic optimisations to enhance ASIC performance.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in processor architecture or performance modelling.
  • Proficiency in C / C++ and Python programming.
  • Solid understanding of software and hardware co-development; prior compiler development experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in parallel processors.
  • Familiarity with AI workloads
