Role summary

As a People Operations Manager, you will join the People Operations team and contribute to delivering an exceptional employee experience for all Qonto team members. You will report to the Lead People Operations and work closely with the France-based team to manage day-to-day HR matters.

You will be deeply involved in day-to-day HR matters of our Qonto team members in France, working with the France-based team and Payroll Manager.

Your role involves managing HR-related matters and becoming a strong partner for the entire team by:

Responsibilities
  • Being the main point of contact for a specific scope, addressing daily queries from Qontoers, managers, and providers.
  • Serving as the reference person for HR-related topics, including Onboarding/Offboarding, Payroll, Legal, HR policies and processes, HRIS, and more.
  • Daily Operations: ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding, address day-to-day HR queries, and ensure compliance with HR rules and standards.
  • HR Policies and Processes: act as the go-to expert for HR policies, procedures, and contracts; participate in standardising HR practices across offices in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Serbia.
  • HR Projects: enhance working methods and policies, implement Parenthood policies or support a new HRIS implementation (Workday), and oversee HR cycles such as progression reviews.
  • Payroll and data: manage data within your scope; prepare payroll runs with support from Payroll Manager and HRIS Manager.
  • Champion HR lifecycle topics by partnering with the team and serving as a referent in your area.
  • Experience in designing and implementing HR policies in a scale-up.
  • Hands-on in the digitalisation of HR and launching tools in a FinTech company.
  • Agility to adapt to scale while maintaining high HR standards.
On-site requirement

Please note that this opportunity is not available for full remote work. Remote policy allows up to 2 days a week remote, with a requirement to be on-site in Paris for at least 3 days a week.

  • Experience: 5+ years as an HR specialist or generalist.
  • Mastery: Strong knowledge of HR and legal topics; hands-on, multi-tasking, rigorous.
  • Teamwork: Ability to build strong relationships based on confidentiality and trust.
  • Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tools: Proficient with Workday in previous roles.
  • Languages: Fluent in French and English.
