Purpose

This role ensures on-time and proper payments to employees, and is compliant at every phase.

Key Missions

• Calculates gross and net pay amounts (e.g., salary, overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, bonuses, deferred compensation, benefits, deductions, payroll liabilities, etc.).
• Maintains payroll-specific records (changes in wage/salary rates, insurance, mandatory deductions), handles new hires, terminations, leaves, or absenteeism, etc.
• Verifies and administers payroll data.
• Monitors and manages compliance with payroll legislation.
• Answers questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters.
• Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, etc., as per regional policy.
• Provides inputs for payouts (full and final settlements, salary advances).
• Supports internal/external audits.
• Liaises with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, HR Ops, and HBP.
• Ensures adherence to legal requirements and company policies according to regional laws.
• Participates in or leads projects related to payroll activities.
• Understands complex payroll concepts, is proficient in Microsoft Excel and calculations.
• Prepares and reviews payment data.
