Description du poste

Payroll Lead - France

Charles De Gaulle

What you'll be doing

As Payroll Lead, you’ll be responsible for managing the full payroll process for your assigned country or countries—ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery while working closely with internal teams and external vendors. You’ll lead payroll operations, oversee statutory filings, manage vendor relationships, and support audits and process improvements. In France, this includes responsibility for DSN, CPAM/IJSS, URSSAF, and collective labour agreement compliance. You’ll act as the key contact for payroll matters, supporting union discussions and driving continuous improvement, all while ensuring payroll aligns with local legislation and company policies.

What you need to do the role

To succeed in this role, you'll need proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and timeliness, particularly within complex, matrixed organisations. You should bring expertise in payroll control frameworks, audit readiness, and stakeholder management, working confidently with HR, Finance, vendors, unions, and senior leadership. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in systems like Workday, Excel, and SharePoint are essential. A results-driven mindset and the ability to manage sensitive payroll issues with professionalism and empathy are also key. For France specifically, deep knowledge of local payroll legislation is crucial, including DSN, CPAM/IJSS, URSSAF, CRPN, and end-of-contract rules, as well as experience handling union engagement and collective agreements. Fluency in French and English is required, along with experience using French payroll systems and leading a small team. Airline or retail experience, familiarity with international payroll, and a background in HR, labour law or finance are desirable. Personally, you'll be proactive, collaborative, adaptable, and an effective communicator who thrives under pressure and values accuracy and teamwork.
