Our payroll operations are at the heart of our business, managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring the end-to-end payroll service is delivered consistently, accurately, and on time.

The payroll accountant will work with their client portfolio to manage payroll from start to finish, including social and tax declarations, advising and guiding clients throughout the cycle, and providing a top-notch client experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Be the main point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients in payroll, delivering exceptional customer service.
  2. Manage complete payroll processes for French staff at various salary levels.
  3. Organize and chair monthly client meetings to monitor progress, assess performance, and identify improvements.
  4. Prepare monthly meeting reports.
  5. Keep payroll manuals relevant and updated to reflect current processes.
  6. Create payroll calendars and checklists, ensuring they are filled out for each payroll processed.
  7. Respond to questions from clients, partners, and colleagues, resolving issues or escalating complex questions through internal channels.
  8. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and effectively, ensuring issues are resolved or appropriately escalated.
  9. Maintain clear communication, build trust, and inform customers about relevant updates and risks.
  10. Communicate risks quickly and accurately to clients and stakeholders, offering innovative solutions.
  11. Maintain honesty and authenticity in all communications.
  12. Support colleagues to ensure consistent customer service performance, offering help and advice as needed.
  13. Have experience with payroll management in France and a deep understanding of tax responsibilities.
  14. Possess a passion for numbers, ideally with experience in finance or payroll roles.
  15. Stay updated on payroll market developments and legislative changes to ensure compliance.
  16. Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of customer service.
  17. Pay close attention to detail, spotting errors or anomalies and resolving them.
  18. Be comfortable with databases, systems, and software, including Microsoft Excel.
  19. Be action-oriented, proactive under pressure, and eager to improve client and colleague experiences.
