About

Swan is Europe’s embedded banking specialist. We empower software companies to embed banking features like accounts, cards, and payments directly into their products, under their own brand. Swan processes over €1.5 billion in monthly transactions for more than 150 companies —like Pennylane, Indy, Agicap, Libeo, and Lucca. Founded in 2019, the company has received growth capital from Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Bpifrance and Eight Roads. Swan is a principal member of Mastercard and a licensed financial institution, regulated by the French banking authority (ACPR).

Our mission

Banking belongs in business software

Many software companies already serve small businesses incredibly well: helping them send invoices, run payroll, manage inventory, and more. They’re on a mission to become the central hub for managing every aspect of business life.

But when it comes to financial workflows, there’s still a gap. Too many critical tasks like managing cash flow, tracking payments, or reconciling accounts happen outside the software, across spreadsheets, email threads, banking portals.

It’s a missed opportunity. Business software shouldn’t just record financial activity — it should run it.

Job description

The Payment Group at Swan leverages industry knowledge, payments expertise, and general insight to build and operate the API-based banking products and the platform that power cash collection, cash storage, and money movements for all Swan financial products.

Ultimately, the group is working toward a future in which all the complexities of handling money are hidden from Swan's partners and end-users—whether that's adopting new payment methods, reconciling various entries (technical, accounting, and cash), integrating with banks and financial partners globally, or addressing regulatory obligations.

Within this Group, the Payment Product team sits at the intersection of Strategy, Go-To-Market, Compliance, Design, and Tech. The team oversees all stages of the product lifecycle - from discovery to sale - while aligning with the company's global strategy and core objectives. The Payment Product team, consisting of Lead Product Managers and Product Managers, ultimately owns the payment product roadmap.

Your mission

The Payment Product Manager leads the strategy and roadmap for a key area of our payment banking product. They develop scalable, high-impact solutions within our payment platform by collaborating with clients, internal teams, and financial providers (card schemes, credit institutions, etc.). This involves evaluating evolving specifications and translating them into thoughtful product capabilities.

Main tasks

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for Swan’s Card Issuing & Credit product line, driving its growth and success.
  • Build scalable, high-impact solutions by translating industry requirements into innovative product features.
  • Work closely with clients, internal teams, and financial partners (card schemes, credit institutions, processors) to deliver value.
  • Improve the end-to-end card issuing experience, from ordering to daily usage, ensuring a seamless journey.
  • Lead the development of new credit products and services, supporting Swan’s expansion in this area.
  • Launch innovative, value-added services that differentiate Swan’s card offering in the European market.
  • Track and analyze product adoption and performance, iterating to maximize customer impact and scalability.
Preferred experience

You’re a great match if:

  • You have 2+ years of experience in Product Management with end-to-end lifecycle management from discovery to release, or relevant experience as an operations/technical account manager in the Fintech/neo-banking industry.
  • Knowledge of the payments industry is a plus.
  • You possess strong analytical skills and can quickly become a subject matter expert in complex products.
  • You're tech-savvy with a genuine passion for technology and product development.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, thrive in international teams, and are enjoyable to work with.
  • You adapt well to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are fluent in English and French
  • Our ideal teammate: empathetic, skilled, frank. We love to challenge each other, and we leave our egos at the door.

It’s okay if you don’t tick all the boxes — don’t let imposter syndrome prevent you from applying!
