LV8D Solutions seeks a Payload Systems Engineer to support development and acquisition of EO/SAR payloads as part of a government SETA team. You will advise on technical, programmatic, and acquisition activities across payload portfolios and ensure alignment with mission requirements.

Role requires familiarity with IC mission structures and satellite lifecycles; active TS/SCI clearance with poly is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related field with 5+ years experience; MS with 3+ years; PhD with 0 years.
• Experience with satellite payload requirement development, design, testing.
• Experience supporting payload design reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR, MRR, PSR).
• Experience acquiring multiple payload systems.
• Experience drafting SOWs and other contract documents.
• Ability to assess contractor designs and risks against mission requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in government/contractor environments.
• Knowledge of government organizations and major acquisition processes.

Responsabilités

• Advise Payload Division Chief on payload development and acquisition.
• Support planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of payload systems.
• Assist in developing CONOPS and employment approaches for EO/SAR systems.
• Prepare requirement documents, SOWs, and contract documents for acquisitions.
• Provide oversight to ensure end-to-end system closure and mission need satisfaction.
• Draft technical evaluations and serve as advisor during source selections.
• Provide assessments of contractor designs at milestone reviews.
• Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings.
• Review CDRL deliverables for technical accuracy and sufficiency.
• Support Government customer activities and programmatic processes.
• Develop documents and briefings communicating study results and status.
