Job summary

Citi in Paris invites you to join the Markets intern analyst program starting January 2027. You will work with rates, equities, commodities, credit, futures and FX, learning from experienced traders and developing practical tools. Successful interns may transition to full-time programs.

The 6-month internship offers exposure to trading desks, risk management and quantitative research while fostering growth and mobility within Citi’s global platform.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in university with mandatory internship agreement (Graduation Year 2027/2028) and valid resident/work permit.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a Business or Engineering school, desirable for Markets roles.
• Good understanding of finance with an interest in Markets.
• Previous experience in Financial Markets is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of programming languages (VBA, Python) desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail and planning.
• Self-starter who thrives both independently and in teams; mobility and flexibility.
• Commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Understanding of option pricing theory; derivatives experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Learn market making and trading book risk management.
• Develop pricing, hedging and analysis tools and strategies.
• Learn from experienced traders through real-time pricing and risk.
• Support key desk tasks like risk reconciliation, P&L, and trade booking.
• Contribute to quantitative research on trading strategies and risk models.
• Use Python and VBA to analyze market data and identify dislocations.
• Draft term sheets and maintain databases used by the trading desk.
• Prepare market updates using Citi research and trader insights.
• Collaborate with Debt Capital Markets, sales, trading, banking, legal and Middle Office.
