Job summary

Harmattan AI in Paris is seeking a senior Validation Laboratory Module Lead to build and run our environmental test lab from scratch. You will define capabilities, procure equipment, and recruit and lead two to three technicians, shaping how we validate products in development and production phases.

You will partner with validation, quality and engineering teams, set test plans and acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with MIL-STD-810/DO-160 where relevant, delivering robust in-house

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in environmental testing, including setting up or developing a test lab.
• Rigorous approach to test planning, criteria, and documentation.
• Experience leading a small technical team or readiness to take that role.

Responsibilities

• Define the lab capabilities and select equipment, evaluation and procurement of machines for climatic, thermal, vibration, UV, water/dust tests.
• Decide what tests to internalise vs. outsource, and revisit as product range grows.
• Set up facility from layout to installation, safety, and commissioning.
• Build and lead a lab team of two to three technicians and grow capabilities as the lab scales.
• Support validation teams by reviewing environmental test plans and ensuring acceptance criteria are defined.
• Hand over procedures to production, ensuring consistency with validation.
