Rolling Hills Hospital is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide counseling services in our outpatient program. You will lead individual and group sessions using evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapy.

You will conduct intake assessments, build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, and provide crisis intervention as needed, while ensuring adherence to CMS and JCAHO documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Health is required.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Compliance with CMS and JCAHO documentation standards.

TheOutpatient Therapistis responsible for providing counseling services to patients in outpatient programming. TheOutpatient Therapistwill provide group counseling to patients of all ages using clinically appropriate modalities such as cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy. TheTherapistwill provide psycho education group experiences including coping skills, goal setting, healthy leisure activities, etc. TheOP Therapistwill be responsible for completing intake assessments, must have the ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families, and provide appropriate crisis intervention as necessary by anticipating and responding quickly to escalating behaviors. TheOP Therapistshould be familiar with and demonstrate consistent compliance with CMS and JCAHO requirements for clinical documentation.

Education/Training

• Master’s degree in the Behavioral Health Field (e.g. Counseling, Social Work, Psychology) required
• LMSW, LPC-MHSP, or LCSW strongly preferred
• Current HWC and CPR certifications (training provided)

Experience

Experience in providing individual and group counseling in a psychiatric treatment setting; excellent telephone etiquette and tact; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crisis or resistant or negative toward organization; effective oral and written skills; basic data entry skills; organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management skills necessary; flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress necessary. Experience working with trauma and substance abuse strongly preferred.
