The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. The RN provides medical management and assessment of patients; ensures environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population; directs the implementation of behavior management programs and ensures consistent carry-through. The Registered Nurse is responsible for making the patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitors their duties. The RN provides training and education to staff, patients, families; documents patient care and ensures data is accurate and included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. The RN works with the treatment team to provide consistently therapeutic milieu.

Education/Training:
Experience in psychiatric setting as a nurse required; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes; effective oral and written communication skills; skills in analyzing and evaluating information; ability to concentrate on tasks and meet deadlines; basic data entry skills preferred; organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management skills necessary; flexibility, creativity, and the ability to manage stress are necessary.
