The Alstom Center of Excellence Interiors provides global expertise in designing and supplying interiors for railway applications. It is located near the Valenciennes site, a plant specializing in the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of rolling stock (1200 employees).

Organizational Performance, Methods and Tools (M/F)

You will join our Interiors Component Development Site and Product Family in Valenciennes Petite Forêt, a key player in the design and development of interior train parts and front ends, with more than 180 people from 22 nationalities, including designers, buyers, industrial staff, quality teams, project managers, and product experts, working on both French and international projects.

What are my responsibilities?

Purpose of the Job/Objective

  • Manage performance, capture value, and drive convergence and the implementation of the integration roadmap.
  • Develop organizational efficiency, promote design thinking, and foster cross-border collaboration.
  • Ensure efficient way of working (WoW), support the design and maintenance of the process landscape.
  • Manage Methods and Tools (excluding specific design tools) and support digitalization efforts.

Organization Reporting

  • Reports to: Interiors Platform Director

Network & Links

Internal Interfaces:

  • Support VP Components Platform & Global Product Convergence (including the integration roadmap and KPIs)
  • RS-COMPONENTS Directors and their management teams
  • Global Product Convergence and Standardization, N-3 team
  • RSC Platforms: Improvement, Performance, and Integration teams, N-3 / N-4 teams
  • Members of RSC-INTERIORS Management

Your responsibilities include:

Supporting efficient WoW and process landscape:

  • Support efficient way of working and processes
  • Support an optimized development logic
  • Drive mindset change within the organization

Organizational Performance Management:

  • Define and ensure alignment of INTERIORS KPIs
  • Prepare reports in line with relevant AT-network standards
  • Monthly monitoring of performance data
  • Collect actual KPI data across CDS and support performance presentation
  • Set KPI targets and objectives

Digital Continuity:

  • Support deployment of AI solutions to enhance internal processes and automation
  • Support deployment of AI costing solutions
  • Improve and adopt 2D and 3D AI checking solutions
  • Identify new AI automation opportunities and propose to the central AI team

PLM4A Digital Continuity Officer:

  • Lead deployment of the PLM4A tool across CDS and support process harmonization
  • Coordinate technical issues with the central PLM4A team and CDS
  • Support initial PLM4A projects in CDS

Qlik Sense project tools maintenance & SharePoint governance:

  • Maintain Interiors project applications across CDS
  • Manage access and user permissions
  • Resolve issues and perform data corrections/manipulations

ODyC Deployment:

  • Assist Planning Manager with the ODyC deployment roadmap for CDS

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Mandatory:

  • Senior business knowledge in complex international organizational setups, platform and product management, engineering, and bid management
  • Minimum 10 years of postgraduate work experience
  • 3-5 years of project assignment experience
  • Leadership skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in an international business environment
  • Knowledge of digitalization

Skills:

  • Autonomous, results-driven, team-oriented personality with strong relationship skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proactive in prototyping and experimenting with new concepts and solutions
  • Flexibility regarding travel time
