Operations Security Specialist (OSS) (S)
Responsibilities:

  1. Perform duties within the tactical operations center (TOC).
  2. Monitor incident and threat reporting, and appropriately call for deployment of the appropriate response team(s) (e.g., Quick Response Force, Emergency Response Team, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, etc.).
  3. Operate communications equipment - monitor and relay radio traffic, effectively controlling the network. Communicate with entities outside of the network with a variety of voice and text-based communications technology including local cell phone, regional and global satellite phone, tactical military radio, and UHF/VHF radio.
  4. Prepare weekly and/or daily reports, as requested by supervisory chain-of-command.
  5. Maintain a watch activity record.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must possess one of the following:


  1. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in any of the following:

    1. Tactical Operations Center
    2. Intelligence analysis
    3. Watch center
    4. Command post
    5. Police/Fire/Rescue dispatch (not 911)
    6. Marine Security Guard
    7. Military Police / Desk Sergeant

  2. A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Shift Leader, Complex Supervisor, or Site Supervisor on WPS III or any of its predecessor contracts within the area of responsibility.

Upon bio approval and before beginning work on the contract, the OSS shall:

  1. Attend and successfully complete the NPSS training course, as outlined in WPS III IDIQ, Attachment 2, Training.
  2. Obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance as identified in the TO.
  3. Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable TO.
