The position will be running under the Rolling Stock and Components (RSC) Global Operations department Smart Ops Process & Tools Integration which is in charge of managing the Industrialization Team in the definition and deployment of methods & tools for our operational staff in Industrialization of our products and the planning and of the full supply chain.

Smart Ops Process & Tools Integration transformation roadmap leverages a standardized solution landscape implementation (from a PLM system to an MES through an ERP backbone). We support regions in the implementation and change management activities in order to reach the adoption of the processes & solutions.

We build operational reports & KPIs in order to monitor the adoption and contribute with the region to the build of the appropriate action plan to improve the adoption.

We evaluate innovative technologies and best practices and build implementation plans while ensuring Method & Tools integration on RSC Ops perimeter.

As a member of Ops Digital Backbone Team, your main mission will be to deploy the industrialization standard processes & tools related to new Alstom PLM Application and Connected Tools on sites to identify the business requirements and ensure that the toolset is matching the business needs based on a close collaboration with the Information System department and the global Business Process Owners from other streams. You will rely on your leadership, project & people management, and excellent communication skills to animate a worldwide industrial network (in headquarters and in industrial sites) as well as with Information System technical teams. Intercultural competence is key.

Your appetite for operations (Industrialization shop floor and integration with Supply Chain Industrial Quality) as well as your passion for digital solutions (3D Experience, SAP DELMIA, Apriso) are key success factors. You are a fast learner on existing processes and solutions and have experience on rollout / evolution projects on SAP or D System solutions.

You are enthusiastic and always propelling Process & Tools evolution effects towards harmonization and operations efficiency's sake.

You will have the following responsibilities among the Ops Digital Backbone Team:

  • Business requirements process definition
  • Constitute and animate multisite/region (worldwide) network multifunctional project teams to carry out the definition, development, validation, and deployment of Industrial methodologies & tools & their improvement
  • Identify industrial business needs through formal exchange with the industrial networks. Ensure consistency with existing End to End processes and coherency with Smart Ops Roadmap and target vision
  • Assess expected benefits with Regional Teams to prepare arbitration during change control board
  • Formalize process description and tools Key Business functional rules and organize validation with proper business stakeholders
  • Define the appropriate phasing and the roadmap of the related tool evolution to converge toward target process/tool coverage
  • Drive the transversal topics cross streams related to Operations (with Industrialization, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality)
  • Drive the necessary Information Solution tool development in close collaboration with IS&T (Information Solution & IT) and other business streams
  • Ensure proper Process & Tools validation through pilots and user acceptance tests by the appropriate stakeholder panel.

Define the Deployment process approach & change management program to support the deployment of new methodologies or tools:

  • Run pre-studies to identify change impact for RSC Ops Digital Backbone
  • Ensure good level of assessment documents to capture the gaps and define action plan build
  • Define and update training documents based on REX (return of experience) and sites improvements request
  • Validate the Site & Regional experts maturity: monitor competence and capacity
  • Act as an ambassador to promote standard tools & methods over custom change requests; target is to unitize the information landscape
  • Community animation / appropriation

Animate a worldwide Key Users and Regional experts network community to share the deployments progress, pain points & best practices:

  • Identify Best practices, formalize them, enrich standard methodologies accordingly and support implementation and related change management
  • Provide strong support on deployed process and associated solution to regions team
  • Update and train standard methodologies based on evolutions and new best practices evolution
  • Manage and promote training documents repository
  • Ensure & maintain the level of training of regional experts
  • Define and support action plan to reach appropriate process application and process usage

Network & Links

  • Strong link with IS&T (Information System & IT) and Solution integrator to ensure the quality and on-time delivery
  • Strong link with Key Users and Regional Business Process Experts is permanent to exchange about best practices, change requests, and defects
  • Strong link with RSC Operations (Ops excel teams, Indus perf, Supply Chain & Planning), Finance, Engineering, and Quality Mtiers to ensure the consistency of processes and tools inputs & outputs quality
  • Strong link with the editor is key to ensure that Alstom business requirements are taken into account in the standard editor solution

  • Minimum 7 years of experience

  • Team spirit able to work in an international environment
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to details & multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation & writing skills (English); French & German beneficial
  • Solid track records in Industrialization & Manufacturing Processes & Tools definition and implementation
  • Strong transversal knowledge on Industrial Operations (Planning, Logistics, Mtiers and Processes)
  • Transversal knowledge on Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing applications: 3D Experience, DELMIA, Apriso, SAP, EHP, QLIKSENSE
  • Ability to travel average of 25% of time
