We are currently seeking an Operations & Maintenance Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Pre-commissioning and commissioning department to join our team based in Paris La Défense (Nanterre) - France.

About the mission we offer you :

The O&M Manager is responsible for leading the Operations and Maintenance scope during EPC (Training, O&M Manuals, Operations Readiness) and preparing the Interim Period for Operations from system completion till utility handover to the COMPANY (HSE, schedule, mobilization plan, material…).

The goal is a facility during the Interim Period that manages Construction, Commissioning, Operational, and Maintenance activities efficiently and safely, in line with the project Safety Plan and Facility Management Systems. The incumbent should demonstrate strong competencies in safety, technical, and personnel management areas.

  • Ideally have previous experience in Onshore Oil & Gas Industry (specifically LNG) in a similar or relevant position.
  • Must have a recognized technical qualification for the position.
  • Experience in carrying out Start-Up and performance testing activities safely and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Engineering degree with substantial experience in operation & maintenance.
  • Practical experience in facility operations and leadership skills to manage daily work activities.
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems and Emergency Response Plans.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in the petroleum industry.
  • High self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Complete all preparations for the O&M scope during EPC in coordination with project management, commissioning organization, the client, and O&M management.
  • Ensure all O&M activities comply with HSE requirements.
  • Develop O&M mobilization plans and schedules, defining ramp-up sequences.
  • Identify staffing needs and coordinate mobilization according to schedules.
  • Manage training coordination in collaboration with the company's training manager.
  • Ensure deployment of all training scope as per contract.
  • Follow-up on the Operations Readiness program with partners or subcontractors.
  • Coordinate the development of Operating and Maintenance Manuals with subcontractors.
  • Manage consumables and materials to ensure performance during the interim period.
  • Lead emergency response activities, including permit systems and procedures.
  • Ensure LNG management aligns with Facility Management Systems and project requirements.
  • Achieve or exceed all operational requirements.

About you :

We are interested in candidates who match the following:

  • Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree, or equivalent trade background/experience.
  • Fifteen years’ experience in Oil and Gas Operations, commissioning, and projects, preferably in FPSOs and LNG infrastructure.
  • Experience managing multi-discipline operations, maintenance, and HSE.
  • Knowledge of gas treatment, LNG production, marine, and utilities operations.
  • Understanding of commissioning requirements for oil and gas facilities.
  • Familiarity with PTW systems, HSE, and Environment Management.
  • Experience with design, construction, and pre-commissioning phases.
  • Ability to troubleshoot process problems and manage emergency responses.
  • Effective communication skills for influencing and reporting.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems and Emergency Response Plans.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in petroleum industry.

People & Management :

  • Participate in recruitment and integration of operations personnel.
  • Develop mobilization and demobilization plans.
  • Support achievement of project schedule milestones.

Communications :

  • Keep management informed of project issues impacting operations.
  • Serve as the field interface for communication during commissioning.
  • Provide detailed weekly and daily reports during shipyard and offshore phases.

Working conditions :

  • During Operations Readiness, based in Paris offices.
  • Prior to commissioning, location will be at site according to country conditions.

Working relationship :

  • Coordinate with project, commissioning, and client teams.
  • Report to project, operational, or commissioning managers as appropriate.

Manage and lead the O&M team, including engineers and technicians, either exclusively or as part of an integrated team.
