We are looking for "Operations & Maintenance Engineer (O&M Engineer) M / F" for one of our clients, to be based in Paris (France).

The position may involve travel between Paris, Hamburg, and Berlin.

Operations & Maintenance Engineer (O&M Engineer) M / F". What will your responsibilities and missions be?

The service provider will undertake engineering responsibilities in support of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities for the German Offshore Wind Projects : N-12.1, N-11.2, and O-2.2. The role will involve tasks across the pre-project, FEED, and execution phases, with a strong emphasis on the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare employer O&M documentation, including (but not limited to) :
  • O&M Philosophy
  • SCADA & Control Philosophy
  • Security Philosophy

FEED and Execution Phases

  • Review and provide constructive feedback on internal and vendor-issued documents impacting future O&M. This includes :
  • WTG and BOP design documents : Safety Concepts, Technical Concepts, SLDs, P&IDs, mechanical / hydraulic / logic diagrams
  • Interface documentation across packages : WTG, cables, BOP, OSS (not in scope)
  • O&M documentation such as :
  • Operational Safety Concept
  • Evacuation and Rescue Plans
  • Emergency Response Plans
  • O&M Manuals
  • Black Start Procedures
  • Spare Part and Tooling Lists with Specifications
  • Preventive Maintenance Programs
  • Detailed Maintenance and Major Component Repair Procedures
  • Statutory Inspection Program and required qualifications
  • Overall and detailed schedules, especially for preservation, commissioning, and start-up of WTG and BOP systems

Logistics & Infrastructure

  • Develop technical specifications for :
  • O&M Ports and Bases (North Sea & Baltic)
  • Central Control Room
  • Central Warehouse
  • Review and comment on third-party specifications (e.g., from marine specialists) to ensure alignment with O&M requirements

Contracting Support

  • Contribute to the development and technical coordination of key O&M contracts, including :
  • WTG Service and Maintenance Agreements
  • BOP Maintenance Contracts
  • Port / Base O&M service contracts
  • Support scope review, risk identification, and negotiation phases with value-added proposals
  • Define and implement relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for O&M contracts

Tools & Systems

  • Utilize tools and platforms such as :
  • Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint
  • NEW PRODOM for document management
  • GIS for geotechnical data
  • E-sourcing, ERP, AGORA (for C&P processes)
  • TotalEnergies Specifications, Guides, and Manuals
  • Other industry-standard project tools

What Profile and Skills are Required for this "Operations & Maintenance Engineer (O&M Engineer) M / F" Position?

  • Senior-level expertise in O&M of offshore wind turbines, acquired across multiple farms or technical contexts (e.g., OEMs, operators)
  • Proven ability to collaborate with international teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate and formalize complex technical concepts
  • Fluent English required; proficiency in French and / or German is an asset
