Qualifications

LOCATION : Chartres Plant

Chartres plant is THE Coty luxury fragrance site. Based at 1 hour from Paris, in the center of Cosmetic Valley, Chartres factory is a place of choice to develop, industrialize and produce luxury fragrances. Chartres plant produces every year 65 millions units and is engaged in a 3 years growth and renovation journey with an inspiring ambition: Making “Chartres Le Luxe par Excellence” an effective reality and our pride.

ROLE AND DEPARTMENT : Operational Excellence Manager

Coty is seeking an exceptional individual to join the OPEX team of its plant located in Chartres. The role is directly reporting to the plant manager.

As Operational Excellence Manager, you are responsible for the implementation of processes and systems, cost efficiency program and adequate continuous improvement culture for Coty’s Chartres Manufacturing Site.

You are a hands-on professional eager to support the team in their daily challenges and also able to support the site masterplan development.

This is a role with a strong focus on manufacturing and supply chain. The role covers a broad range of business activities and gives the opportunity to have a positive impact.

RESPONSABILITIES

In this role, in collaboration with plant lead team and the operations team, you:

• Facilitate the daily critical activities (Daily Direction Settings, OEE, Losses…) and site critical work processes (Centerline, Abnormal losses…)
• Support the development of the site masterplan to optimize factory flows and efficiency through operational excellence best in class approaches and digitalization
• Act as a coach, train and develop operational managers & leaders and help build capability & facilitate strong root causes analysis
• Support Site KPI management and performance reviews
• Lead critical process improvement projects and Kaizen events and define, develop and roll out operations standards
• Act as a change agent within the site while championing proper change management

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

To be successful in this role, you will bring a solid background in operational excellence, analytical problem solving, previous operational experience and a demonstrated track record of implementing operational improvements.
Key requirements:

• BS Degree in Engineer, Supply Chain or related area of study
• 5-7 years FMCG and/or Beauty experience, preferably from a FMCG/packing industry
• Operational Excellence experience within Manufacturing environment
• Leadership to manage change management
• Strong communication and presentation skills (from leadership members to operators)
• Rigorous, capable to go deep in details without losing big picture

Essential skills

• Operational excellence background: mastery of basics of lean (5S, RCO, TRS/OEE, TQM/RCPS, …..) proper to achieve day to day objectives and ability to translate advanced lean techniques (JIT, process mapping, VSM, ……) in effective improvements projects toward excellence.
• Problem-solving techniques; Curious, team player and leader; attention to detail. You know how to translate complex data into a key take out with your analytical mindset.
• Training and coaching: focus on helping individuals improve performance. Guide others toward improvement and learning through teamwork, positive leadership, and strengths.
• Stakeholder management: Ability to work cross functionally within the site, influencing effectively and overcoming barriers.
