Loft's Onboard Software group powers our satellite fleet with onboard Linux, container runtimes, and CI pipelines. The Deployment & Runtime Environments team builds tools to assemble software stacks and run partner workloads securely in orbit.

We're seeking a scrappy engineer who digs into unfamiliar systems, maps them out, and ships features end-to-end—from Linux internals to the container environment and deployment workflows. You’ll own features and participate in code reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration.
• Deep Linux system knowledge and failure recovery.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git.
• Proficiency with Python.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to and evolve the bundle management tool.
• Develop and harden onboard Linux infrastructure for mission execution.
• Evolve the Runtime Container Environment and container registry stack.
• Support scaling of the deployment pipeline as new hardware is added.
• Contribute to Product Validation as the final development step before orbit.
• Design and refine software with ownership from concept to delivery.
• Participate in code reviews and process improvements.
