Qualifications

• 5-7 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie offshore/marine.
• Capacité à travailler en équipe et s'adapter rapidement.

Responsabilités

• Réaliser des études de conception allant de la pré-conception jusqu'au plan de construction.
• Créer des modèles 3D et des dessins liés aux études.
• Écrire des documents d'étude (note opérationnelle, analyse fonctionnelle géométrique).

Offshore Structural (Naval) Engineer - Marseille, Montpellier, Paris

The company

SolarinBlue is the leading French start-up pioneering floating offshore solar PV.

SolarinBlue's mission is to free solar PV from land use competition, by bringing solar PV at sea and at scale.

We provide the right way to decarbonize electricity for ports and islands and we enable hybrid offshore wind & offshore solar farms.

SolarinBlue was founded in 2019 and, after 3 years of R&D, has set up Sun'Sète the first French & Mediterranean demonstrator of floating offshore solar farm in open sea, 2 km from the port of Sète, France.

Building on this success, we are now extending Sun'Sète to 1 MW and developing new projects.

Key responsibilities

Our Offshore Structural (Naval) Engineer is part of our technical team.

You will be in charge of design studies and 3D modelling our our floating structures and more specifically :

• Carry out studies from pre-design up to detailed design and construction plan,
• Create digital models and drawings relating to the studies carried out,
• Carry out specific studies on key structural elements, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, norms, etc.,
• Write study documents (operational note, geometric functional analysis, etc.)
• Discuss with technical partners and certification bodies
• Provide specific studies for our business development team

Skills :

• Excellent knowledge of mechanical (naval) engineering of offshore structures
• Good understanding of interactions between hydrodynamics studies & mechanical design
• Include economics & technical feasibility in manufacturing / assembly in the design
• Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD (ex : SolidWorks)
• Experience with Ansys / Abaqus calculation software
• Do It Yourself” & "Hands-on" spirit
• Written and verbal expression in French and English.

Experience & Education :

We are looking for a candidate with :

• 5-7 years experience in the offshore / marine industry;
