Job summary

CMA Ships, a CMA CGM Group subsidiary, seeks a New Building Design & Tender Project Manager to oversee pre-contract design work and tender discussions for vessel projects in Marseille.

The role requires a Master’s degree in naval/maritime engineering or equivalent, 5+ years’ vessel design experience, and fluent English. You will liaise with shipyards, design offices, and industry stakeholders to drive innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in naval or maritime engineering or equivalent merchant shipping qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in vessel design and operations.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage newbuilding design projects and pre-contract tender discussions.
• Create and maintain relationships with shipyards, design offices, and industry players.
• Review tender documentation: technical specs, drawings, and contracts.
• Collect and analyze new-building market information.
• Ensure CMA CGM standards alignment with Design Improvement Office.
• Present bi-monthly steering committee on alternative fuels.
