Description du poste

As Network & Engineering Manager - Europe, you will report directly to the Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and lead cross-functional engagement across Operations, Finance, Customers and Suppliers.

You will identify and champion opportunities for profitable growth, while ensuring programmes and projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, maximising the successful realisation of expected business benefits.

Specific responsibilities

The following outlines the primary areas of responsibility.

Additional responsibilities or functions may be required as necessary to support the business.

  • Serve as the key local point of contact for customers, agreed third-party suppliers and OEMs/vendors, ensuring strong commercial and operational relationships throughout the bid and delivery lifecycle.
  • Working closely with in-country and central Solutions & Services sales teams and Global Network & Engineering (N&E) to provide commercial support, including cost-base development, supplier pricing and participation in key commercial meetings.
  • Collaborate with Global Account Directors and the Global N&E leadership team to define and manage the regional portfolio pipeline, ensuring appropriate resource, financial, technical capability and supplier requirements are identified and planned.
  • Support the development of business cases, workforce plans and regional budgets in line with the programme pipeline, Solutions & Services opportunities and managed service awards.
  • Work closely with the Global N&E team to ensure all programmes and projects within the regional portfolio are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality standards, while maximising the realisation of agreed business benefits and maintaining ownership of the local programme P&L.
  • Ensure regional programmes operate within established governance frameworks, processes and procedures, supporting effective change, escalation, risk and issue management through the organisation’s existing PMO tools and systems.
  • Apply established programme and delivery frameworks consistently across existing and new customers, ensuring a standardised, scalable and commercially effective approach to portfolio delivery.
  • Partner with the Global N&E function to onboard and manage internal and external suppliers responsible for programme and project delivery, including the production and review of supplier performance reports and associated improvement actions.
  • Collaborate with Global N&E Portfolio Managers and Service Management teams to align regional reporting with established commercial performance metrics, forecasting processes and governance requirements.
  • Work closely with Regional Finance and Programme/Portfolio stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, forecasting, cost control and visibility of commercial performance.
  • Partner closely with Global N&E Operations to balance delivery, commercial performance, risk and profitability, ensuring customer commitments are achieved while protecting regional margins and business value.
About you
  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Project/Programme Management or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience managing large, complex transformation portfolios and programmes across multiple sectors, ideally within a fast-paced, operationally complex environment.
  • Proven experience working within a growth-focused business, with experience in the telecommunications sector highly desirable.
  • Extensive financial management experience, including business planning, forecasting, financial reporting and P&L ownership.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse complex data, identify key insights and translate findings into clear actions and business decisions.
  • Professional qualification or practical experience in recognised project, programme or service management methodologies, such as MSP, PRINCE2, APM, PMI or ITIL Foundation.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to review commercial agreements and contracts, identify risks and opportunities, and ensure appropriate commercial governance.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels across a geographically dispersed organisation.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, complex programmes and competing stakeholder requirements while maintaining a strong focus on delivery.
  • Fluent English is essential. Fluency in German, French, and/or another European language is highly desirable, with additional European languages considered an advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to work collaboratively across multiple European markets, including the Nordics, Germany, France and other European locations.
