Job summary

Harmattan AI is seeking a Navigation Engineer to design and develop high‑precision navigation and positioning for autonomous systems. You will work on tightly‑coupled IMU/GNSS filtering to improve localisation, integrity, and robustness against jamming and spoofing, from concept to field deployment.

You will collaborate with Navigation, Radar, software, EW and ML teams to ensure robust PNT performance and a rigorous engineering process with clear documentation and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical background with physical intuition.
• Experience with GNSS, INS/IMU and estimation filters (Kalman) is a plus.
• Background in tightly-coupled navigation architectures.
• Experience in GNSS-denied or contested environments is advantageous.
• Solid software and algorithm skills, not just coding.
• MSc in Engineering; PhD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and implementation of navigation/PNT for autonomous platforms.
• Develop navigation resilient to GNSS degradation (anti-jam/anti-spoof).
• Design multi-sensor fusion and estimation algorithms.
• Create test plans, run simulations, and report performance against targets.
• Collaborate with HW, software, EW and ML teams on interfaces.
• Contribute to design reviews and maintain requirements traceability.
