Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Building Maintenance Worker for Orleans Career and Technology Center to perform semi-skilled maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating, and groundskeeping. The role involves independent judgment under supervision and may supervise helpers.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of general building maintenance experience; valid NYS driver’s license is required. Salary offers excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalency diploma with 2 years of building maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, welding, and general building repairs.
• Maintains heating plant equipment, piping, and related systems.
• Installs plumbing fixtures, wiring, lighting, and related components.
• Repairs doors, windows, cabinets, and office furniture.
• Performs painting and concrete finishing tasks.
• Operates trucks and other motorized equipment as needed.
• Supervises or assists helpers in maintenance tasks when assigned.

Education

2 years experience in general building maintenance or building trades
