Multinational

AIG Multinational is an exciting business area within AIG that designs, implements and services bespoke multinational insurance solutions for our global customers empowering our clients and broker partners to navigate complex cross-border risks with confidence and consistency. AIG Multinational professionals have the diverse skills and expertise necessary to deliver customized, compliant and seamless solutions that support our clients' risk management objectives. You can work alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team to explore and deliver new solutions to meet our customers' global insurance needs.

Role Summary

External broker and client facing role managing the day-to-day servicing and multinational technical support on an assigned portfolio of Tier 2 and 3 Multinational programs in support of the Product Underwriters. Provides multinational technical support to Underwriters for standard programs as needed. This role supports all major Multinational lines of business.

How you will create an impact

Coordinate the day-to-day multinational servicing activities throughout the program lifecycle on an assigned portfolio of accounts and operate as the primary multinational point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Proactively manage pre-bind activities including:

  1. Utilizing available AIG tools and technology the completion of a comprehensive territorial analysis detailing the multinational regulatory requirements to be included in the quotation document.
  2. Collection of any other specific regulatory information impacting the program including tariff and/or minimum rates, mandatory retentions or cessions, and any other regulatory matters requiring engagement with the AIG network prior to binding.
  3. Promote and drive the adoption of the AIG Multinational End-to-End process so that all parties understand and commit to roles, responsibilities, and expected timelines to provide an elevated service performance and deliver contract certainty.
  4. Completion of handoff documentation to the Multinational Administrator / Multinational Operations for the release of network instructions ensuring 100% accuracy and in line with bound program terms.

Proactively manage post-bind activities including:

  1. Monitoring of program implementation to ensure network issues and rejects are addressed effectively and efficiently working in collaboration with underwriting, the Multinational Client Executive and the AIG network as applicable.
  2. Track performance and escalate where necessary utilizing appropriate escalation channels to ensure documentation is issued within agreed timeframes and premiums are collected in line with AIG payment terms.
  3. Provide regular updates to the appointed broker (or client if direct) on program performance until fully implemented.

Ongoing account servicing:

Address any ad hoc midterm enquiries including endorsements, certificate requirements or any other administrative or servicing request ensuring engagement with appropriate authority holder for approvals where required.

Provide tracking and performance information to underwriting and Multinational Client Executive for inclusion in periodic client stewardship meetings in which you would participate.

General:

Provide multinational subject matter expertise and be an escalation point to support colleagues in respect of multinational program design, territorial information and multinational related problem solving as required.

Build strong relationships with underwriters and distribution to promote AIG Multinational.

Help support and contribute to internal and external strategies that align our product offerings and grow AIG multinational business.

What you'll need to succeed

  1. Minimum 3 years commercial insurance experience preferably client servicing (broker or company background)
  2. Technical knowledge of multinational programs with experience of the multinational environment and processes.
  3. Experience working with multinational corporations
  4. Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Highly motivated and ability to work autonomously and on own initiative
  6. Good time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, organize work and meet deadlines
  7. Strong administration skills and attention to detail
  8. Ability to clearly articulate ideas
  9. Collaborative with the ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  10. Ability to identify operational improvements and gain technical knowledge/experience to carry out those improvements
  11. Computer literacy required: IT packages MS Outlook, Excel, Word
