MISSIONS UNDER THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUSINESS MANAGER:

  1. Preparing the building site:
  • Become familiar with the building site (kick-off meeting, contractual documents, technical execution file, site visit, QHSE guidelines, etc.).
  • Schedule and coordinate the works to be carried out.
  • Propose operating procedure options, alternatives, and optimizations.
  • Identify the necessary human and material resources.
  • Act as a source of proposals for defining preventive measures throughout the building site project.
  • Prepare the remote site (sanitary facilities, etc.).
  • Complete the supplies.
  • Managing the building site:
    • Pass on guidelines to personnel involved (organization, implementation deadlines, use of equipment).
    • Organize procurement of equipment, supplies, materials, machinery locations, and storage areas.
    • Schedule activities and resources; assign tasks to personnel.
    • Ensure compliance with, and transmission of, QHSE procedures, rules, and preventive measures.
    • Analyze accidents/ incidents and risks; define appropriate preventive measures.
    • Develop and implement the QHSE action plan (preventive, corrective).
    • Ensure PPE provision on the building site.
    • Follow up on the schedule (lead times, worktime budget).
    • Verify construction compliance with documents (by employees, subcontractors, etc.).
    • Establish and/or validate administrative files (time entries, transfer slips, work permits, other permits, etc.) and reports.
    • Communicate relevant information to superiors and team members.
    • Provide technical support to operative personnel.
    • Address deviations and obtain the works completion certificate.
    • Participate in the installation reception with the client (OPR).
    • Participate in experience feedback sessions.
    • Communicate with local residents and other companies on-site.
  • Managing the teams:
    • Welcome newcomers (employees, temporary workers).
    • Ensure skills transfer within the team.
    • Conduct or assist in conducting appraisal interviews.
